Derpixon has been one of my favourite artists for -- holy cow -- a long time, over a decade! I can totally understand when an artist burns out, wants a change, needs to explore new creative directions. I'm old enough that Calvin & Hobbes is one of my cultural touchstones -- and the artist Bill Watterson stepped away from his wildly successful creation without capitalizing on merchandising or handing his work over to understudies because his creative juices were tapped. Definitely some parallels here! Whoever Derpixon is and whatever they do with the next chapter of life, I know that success will find them, because they're talented, hard-working, and because they deserve it.
I hope you enjoy your break as much as we've enjoyed your posts over the years.
PS: Party Games was a partial inspiration for me to get into drawing.
